Children's art is precious. Their drawings are simple, and contain familiar images such as rainbows, sunshine and faces. But why stop there? With Young Rembrandts classes, children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade learn the skills necessary to draw more complex images. As they learn to draw and follow directions, children discover the world around them and develop fundamental skills that prepare them as learners. Our nurturing and encouraging environment brings out the best in children. Students enrolled in Young Rembrandts' classes also display an increase in these skills: - Fine motor skills, handwriting, & attention span - Sharing and self-discipline - Patience, discipline and focus - Creativity and improved confidence, self esteem Enroll your child for classes today!
These lessons depict farm animals and scenes built from simple shapes. The drawings teach angles and perspectives, as well as contrast, warm vs. cool colors, and uses crayon and marker media!

Terri's Classes

Terri Hope and her husband John Hope are the owners of Young Rembrandts in Atlanta. Terri & John are both native Atlantans and are raising their two children, Duncan (12) and Shannon (10), in north DeKalb County near Emory University.

For over 30 years Terri has enjoyed creating art through a variety of media including acrylic paints, watercolor with pen & ink detail, painting ceramics, and photography. In addition to these person creative pursuits, Terri was professionally trained by the Young Rembrandts founder Bette Fetter and curriculum producer Louis Bernal on the company's step-by-step method of fundamental drawing.

Alex's Classes

Alex Miller is a senior at Georgia State University studying film and media. She has experience as an artist, webmaster, and podcaster, with plans to obtain a masters in teaching art. While in college she has worked for The Splatter Studio, and brings her enthusiasm for art to Young Rembrandts students.
