Quilling is the centuries-old process of rolling and shaping strips of paper, which are then adhered to a surface to create a larger design. The class will introduce you to basic quilling techniques and will also cover paper selection, quilling tools, glue selection, and design considerations. The instructor will guide you in applying your new quilling skills to create a "takeaway" piece with a seasonal theme. A $20 materials fee, payable to the instructor at the time of the workshop, gets you all the materials and tools you need for the class and to continue your new craft at home. Quilling is a detailed activity that requires patience and some degree of manual dexterity as well as good eyesight. Bring your magnifiers or an Opti-Visor if needed.
