We'll discuss floral artist of the past and present before we dive into a drawing exercise and get a better understanding of the structures of flowers and foliage. Then students will be instructed in the fundamentals of composition, color, and value.
You'll learn how to set up your own floral still-life as the instructor constructs several floral still-lifes for students to paint from life. There will also be some photo references to select from. The instructor will also complete a quick painting sketch to demonstrate to attendees a step-by-step process of painting a floral still-life.

Canvas, acrylic paint and brushes will be supplied for you if you need, or you can bring along your own supplies of oils or acrylics, flat and filbert brushes, and some small 12 x 12 and 11 x 14 canvases.
