The class will review four Shibori methods: Kumo, Itajime, Arashi, and Nui. Students will use folding, tying, and binding resist techniques to create beautiful designs on fabric. We will also be going over clay-resist methods for more controlled patterns. Throughout the workshop, students will discover how indigo is made and witness the fascinating transformation from green to blue.
