Learn how to safely etch your copper and brass using salt water, a battery and a Silhouette Cameo die-cutting machine to cut custom vinyl decals as the resist. We will cover how to apply the vinyl resist to your copper or brass, how to safely and properly etch your metal, how to stop the etching process, how to clean up the salt water when the etching process is complete, and how to properly filter the salt water so it can be reused again and stored properly. A list of all materials used in class will be provided.
*Students must come to class with a printed/hard copy black and white image (no grayscale) that they would like to have etched onto copper or brass. Students are welcome to bring as many as three black-and-white patterns/designs and up to 3 sheets of copper and or brass to etch in the workshop. 18g (or thicker) copper and or brass. Minimum sizing 3x3. All other materials, equipment, and chemicals are included.

After experiencing a life-altering injury and recovery, Beth's perspective of priority and purpose dramatically changed. Her artistic design exudes positive energy and joy.
