No experience is needed to work with glass seed beads, needle and thread to learn the basics of off-loom bead-weaving. Create fabrics using various stitches such as peyote, netting, herringbone, right-angle weave and spiral rope. Each class will be devoted to explaining the history of each stitch, the basics of working each stitch and variations of each stitch; such as increasing/decreasing and flat vs. tubular/circular. Students will be guided in using these basic stitches to create wearable projects such as bracelets, rings and necklaces. You'll be amazed at the endless jewelry possibilities you can create with these fundamental skills! Materials fee of $20 PAYABLE TO INSTRUCTOR first day of class (unless you already have supplies from a previous class).
