Stephanie's Classes

Stephanie Caldwell teaches Creative Drawing & Painting, 8-12 yrs and Teen. She describes her teaching as based in direct instruction for personalized learning, with assigned presentations and final artworks for the class.

An Atlanta native, Stephanie is a Fine Art graduate from Auburn University. Since 2007, she taught Fine Art in the private school setting and is currently the Fine Art teacher in the Art Department at a STEAM school, where she teaches 26 classes a week with over 320 students. She worked at a Montessori school for 5 years as the Art Program Director and Educator. Her art enrichment course, "Little Masters Of Art," was followed by summer school that included weekly themes. Stephanie painted on-site in a Cafe in Buckhead for 10 years, freelanced murals and illustrations, and created life-size displays for retail presentation for 12 years. She was drawn to teaching after an art teacher acquaintance invited her to be one of the touring artists for the National Art Education Association.

Stephanie cites Andy Warhol, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Henry Matisse as her favorite artists. She takes further inspiration from the Visual Arts Encyclopedia Book.

Stephanie's awards & reviews include: GACE Touring School Artist, WalkAmerica & Publix T-Shirt design, Grand Marshal Float Design winner (Youth Fest), Studio-Tour Art Coordinators, Visual Artist Juror, and was recognized in several local newspapers. The "Symphony of Fine Art", "Kaleidoscope" Gallery, "Kandinsky" and "Safari" are a few of Stephanie's student visual art shows. Stephanie has had her own art studio since she was in Auburn in the 80's.
