Discover the art of woodturning. During this 4-week course instructor David Liss will cover every aspect of woodturning including safety, dos and don'ts, understanding how to use a lathe, how to properly hold the tools, sharpening the tools, basic hollowing, basic spindle work, and the making of a wood pen.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS Students should not wear open shirts, long sleeve shirts, gloves or shorts. Closed toed shoes are required. Long hair must be pulled back. N95 masks to be worn during turning. Full face shields to be worn when operating machinery

David Liss has been a woodturner for over 10 years. David makes pens, plates cups, bowls, wood chalices and has found a love in woodturning for many years. David has taught wood working at Camp Judea in Hendersonville North Carolina multiple times to children in the woodworking shop and is excited to share his passion for the woodshop. David is a member of the Georgia Association of Woodturners, Barnesville Woodturners and a member of American Association of Woodturners.
