Julie's Classes

Julie Glasser teaches Beadweaving (all levels), Sewing, Sewtastic Sewing Camp, and 3-D Bead Design Camp. She describes her teaching style as very laid back and informative. Julie likes to see where her students' level of knowledge is so she can better serve them. She is extremely patient and likes to make sure everyone understands what they are working on. Julie has been making jewelry since the early 80's. She works in both Sterling Silver and glass seed beads. Her passion is colorful, inspiring jewelry and dreaming up new and exciting designs. She is completely self-taught in beadweaving and works in numerous off-loom stitches. Julie cites her mother as her favorite artist. Julie's mother gave her a love of art at a young age, filling their home with art supplies and showing her how to sew whatever she needed. Her desire is to create items that combine both Sterling Silver and beadweaving. She has taught adults and children how to make jewelry since 2002 and enjoys every minute! Her passion to work on crafts and share them with others drives her to teach. She loves seeing the fulfillment others get from beading or sewing and knowing they can make things for themselves. When she isn't beading or doing silversmith work, she is sewing or spending time with her two daughters. Julie is also very musical! She plays the piano and loves to sing and dance.
