Students who register for Jewelry Open Studio will have access to tools, supplies, torches and the rolling mill during each open studio session, with the exception of the hydraulic press. The hydraulic press is never available during open studio sessions. A Studio Assistant will be in attendance to monitor and assist as needed, but instruction is not offered during the Open Studio Session. Students must have completed at least 1 jewelry department class (Beginning, Beyond the Basics, Intermediate or Advanced Jewelry classes) to be eligible for Open Studio. Students must be able to work independently. Students signing up for the open jewelry studio session understand that this is a time to work within their current skill set, and not a time to work or experiment with any tools and equipment for the "first-time". Please be advised of the following studio procedures: Students are required to wear a mask at all times while in the studio. No exceptions. Please arrive and leave at your scheduled time. Coming early or leaving late will make it incredibly difficult for staff to effectively clean and disinfect student areas. There is no communal food or drink allowed in the studio at this time.

Sarah's Classes

An Atlanta native, Sarah has found joy in a myriad of arts, ranging from dance to creative writing. Pursuing an early love of film photography, Sarah graduated in 2009 with a degree in Commercial Photography, specializing in archival print processes. Though she later returned to school to study Business Administration, Sarah continued photographing in her spare time.

Sarah began taking Jewelry and Silversmithing classes at Spruill in 2012. Throughout the last decade, Sarah has found joy and peace at her weekly Spruill classes. The last year found Sarah sharing her passion for jewelry with her mother, who joined her at Spruill, and with numerous youths who attended Spruill's jewelry summer camps. Sarah is excited for the opportunity to further share her knowledge and passion with new and returning Spruill students this Fall.
