In this free workshop, instructor David Liss will touch on every aspect of woodturning including safety, dos and don'ts, understanding how to use a lathe, how to properly hold the tools, sharpening the tools, basic hollowing, basic spindle work, and the making of a wood pen. David Liss has been a woodturner for over 10 years. David makes pens, plates cups, bowls, wood chalices and has found a love in woodturning for many years. David has taught wood working at Camp Judea in Hendersonville North Carolina multiple times to children in the woodworking shop and is excited to share his passion for the woodshop. David is a member of the Georgia Association of Woodturners, Barnesville Woodturners and a member of American Association of Woodturners.
