In this class we will be creating both fun and functional pieces using basic handbuilding techniques. We will explore surface decorations such as sgraffito, underglaze transfers, slip trailing and silkscreening. The class is project based and beginning students are encouraged to create the projects to learn basic techniques. Intermediate and advanced students are welcome to bring in their own ideas and work independently, or join in making the class project. All students will be assisted as needed during the class period. A basic handbuilding tool kit will be available to purchase for on the first day of class.
