This 6-week class teaches foundational figure drawing using techniques like the Envelope, Bean and Box, and Gesture methods. These simplify the human form into manageable steps, making the process less intimidating. Artists gain confidence and improve their skills through structured, accessible approaches to drawing the full figure. A model fee will be collected from each student on the days a model is used.
Students are welcome to purchase their own supplies. See spruillarts.org for required course materials. Or, students can purchase a materials kit that provides all of the needed materials for a fee of $25 PAYABLE TO INSTRUCTOR AT FIRST CLASS.
