Monica's Classes

Monica is a teacher and pottery artist who has created crafts and art, experimenting with multiple medias from as far as she can remember, including creating "art gallery drawing shows" for her family and neighbors when she was just 5 years old!

She is a believer of exposing kids to art early, so they can not only appreciate it, but make art a great component of their lives.

Monica's pieces show colorful Latino influences, with organic shapes and colorful finishes. She states: "Clay is the most satisfying media to work with; it can be combined with other materials for unique results. It's my media of choice to create a variety of pieces, finished with glazes, underglazes, and raku techniques, sometimes combined with other materials. I love helping others to express themselves through the many possibilities of pottery making."
