Are you ready to take your ceramic surfaces to the next level? In this 10-week session, you will discover transformational techniques to activate the surfaces of your hand built or wheel thrown pieces.
We will explore handmade stamps, rollers and texture tools, clay slips, carving, sgraffito and printing with newsprint and custom-made silkscreens. Whether you are a wheel thrower or hand builder, bring more life and vibrancy to your surfaces Monday mornings!
Class will be conducted in a handbuilding studio. Students may bring their own work from open studio or home studio to embellish or experiment on. Additionally, slabs or tiles may be created in class to practice techniques. An optional tool kit is available for a $10 fee, PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR during the first class.
