Learn to master the beauty & variety of how this unique, non-toxic paint in stick form can be used with different surfaces; layered with other mediums by using multiple techniques. Whether you gravitate towards realism, abstract or impressionism, explore new ways of expressing your work with this forgiving medium.
If you prefer to work in soft pastels or switch between the two mediums during the sessions, the instructor will work with both and demonstrate oil and soft pastel applications. We will explore composition, value, the color wheel, color temperature and Modern Masters of this medium.

Randie's Classes

Randie attended Monmouth University, Scottsdale Artist School and The Palette & Chisel Fine Arts Academy in Chicago for classical art training. Additionally, she studied under the tutelage of numerous master painters throughout the country in oil painting, soft pastel, oil pastel and graphite (see her list of mentors on her website under "artist statement").

An award-winning artist, her work has been published, hung in museum shows, as well as purchased in corporate and private collections nationwide.

She is a juried member of the Palette & Chisel, as well as a member of numerous other professional art organizations worldwide.

Randie has taught and held workshops nationwide for the past 2 decades, encouraging aspiring artists to have confidence in their own abilities and styles; learning the fundamentals & developing their uniqueness in any application or medium of their work. Building the necessary foundations to be successful requires thorough mentors and teaching.

In addition, Randie is educated as a corporate attorney and criminologist, previously working with numerous large law firms and corporations nationwide.
