OR

Create a beautiful wooden chalicee during this 4-week course. You will learn every aspect of woodturning including safety, dos and don'ts, understanding how to use a lathe, and how to properly hold the tools, as well as sharpening the tools. By the end of the session you will have your very own unique wooden plate.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
No open shirts, long sleeve shirts, gloves or shorts
Closed toed shoes are required
Long hair must be pulled back
N95 masks to be worn during turning and sanding
Full face shields to be worn when operating machinery

David Liss has been a woodturner for over 10 years. David makes pens, plates cups, bowls, wood chalices and has found a love in woodturning for many years. David has taught wood working at Camp Judea in Hendersonville North Carolina multiple times to children in the woodworking shop and is excited to share his passion for the woodshop. David is a member of the Georgia Association of Woodturners, Barnesville Woodturners and a member of American Association of Woodturners.
