If you find Glaze and glazing the most frustrating part of the ceramic process this workshop might be for you. We will talk about many important topics such as: -Commercial glazes vs studio glazes -What are glaze flaws and how they can be prevented. (Pinholes, crazing, bubbling, crawling) -How the color and thickness of bisque affects the finished product. -Best practices for glazing. Cleaning, waxing, dipping, pouring, inside/outside glaze. Note: this will be a lecture style workshop with instructor demonstrations. Attendees will not be glazing in this workshop. PRE-REQUISITE: You must be currently enrolled in a Spruill ceramics class to take this course.
