LIGHT & SHADOW: A VISUAL LANGUAGE (BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED)
Learn to 'sculpt' w/ pencils & 'paint' w/ charcoal, in an enthusiastic class geared towards students of multiple levels, creating an artist's community where everyone's focus is on their projects and goals while readily sharing their discoveries and knowledge with the rest of the class. Class will focus on composition, perspective, structure, value, proportion, white shadows, & mixed media in our quest to create exciting, dynamic, drawings.
All presented in a progressive format - each session builds on the last so you can join anytime! Students work with B/W and ultimately move on to using a wide variety of media. Work in black/white & color. See www.spruillarts.org for a list of supplies you will need to bring to class.
