GETTING DOWN WITH FIGURE & PORTRAIT STUDIES

A three hour, sight-based, life-drawing class is available for both TEENAGE & ADULT Student Artists. Every quarter we have life-drawing students who desire to focus primarily above the shoulders. Others focus on the enhanced torso's gesture where attitude, strength & composition are all they require for a satisfactory drawing experience. Obviously the answer was to combine the two into one class like we did when teaching at a smaller facility. Those looking for a portraiture focus have what they want as do those wishing to further develop their figurative and compositional skills. Explore SPACIAL & ELEMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS & VOLUMETRICS while learning of the bonds between edges & mass, observation & experimentation. Lastly develop a clear ability to understand, see, compose and dynamically render the human form. Open to all drawing media Live models in all classes. MODEL FEES ARE COLLECTED BY THE INSTRUCTOR AT THE FIRST CLASS. Past student work can be seen at my website on student gallery pages.
