INTERMEDIATE JEWELRY INTENSIVE

The focus of this intensive will be using wire for the main components for design. We will cover Argentium, Gold-fill and Steel and the benefits of each. Sterling and fine silver will compliment these materials and students will learn how to choose types of metal gauge depending on their design needs. Fusing Argentium wire as well as fine silver bezels will also be covered. Wire structures for necklace and bracelet projects will be our basic projects, but lovely pendant and earrings are also great options. A supply list will be sent to students two weeks before class starts. Expect to pay between $40 and $60 for materials depending on market pricing. PREREQUISITE: Two (2) Beginning Jewelry and Metalsmithing classes at the Spruill Center for the Arts, or by permission of the instructor.
