We will cover how to apply the vinyl resist to your silver, how to safely and properly etch your silver, how to stop the etching process, how to clean up the chemicals when the etching process is complete, and how to store your chemicals properly. A list of all materials used in class will be provided. *Students must come to class with a printed/hard copy black and white image (no grayscale) that they would like to have etched onto sterling silver. Students are welcome to bring as many as three black and white patterns/designs and up to 3 sheets of sterling silver to etch in the workshop. 18g (or thicker) sterling silver. Minimum sizing 3x3. All other materials, equipment, and chemicals are included.
