Newsflash here, the camera is not our friend when it comes to helping us look our best in photographs. It does not have our best interests at heart like capturing our best side, "slimming us down a few pounds", minimizing what some may refer to as a "double chin", etc. It is simply there to capture what is in front of the camera lens, plain and simple. So, let's take our power back from the camera by learning to use some simple posing tricks for portrait photography. In this class you learn some super simple posing tricks to help make the people in your photographs (mom, daughter, granddad, etc) feel confident when you are behind the camera instead of wanting to run the other away. These are tried and true techniques to use with any age and body type to help flatter the model/s you are photographing. It's a win-win all around. First class will cover posing tips and some practice with other students. Second class will be a critique/review of photos taken outside of class. Please bring a smartphone or DSLR camera to class. Basic knowledge of camera or smartphone is suggested, but not required. Students will be practicing with each other to get real life experience.
