TEXTURE ENCAUSTIC WAX is joyful deep mark making. Spend your day building unique art pieces rich with texture using encaustic wax, water, objects and fire. Create inches of height, deep crevasses by mixing water with fire, adding found objects, textured textiles to encaustic wax compositional building blocks. Enhanced by final touches of oil pigmented washes and metallic rubs. A blow torch as your paint brush, with all of the above, you will create energetic surface marks and layers of organic undulations. Explore what makes a rich solid abstract composition while joyfully creating layers of textured depth. INTRO TO ENCAUSTIC PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. Materials are included in the Materials Kit Fee of $40 PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the time of the workshop.
