En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air”, and refers to the act of painting outdoors. In this 2-day workshop students will meet in the sculpture garden of the Spruill Gallery and learn about capturing the spirit and essence of a landscape or subject. Instructor Brad Twilley will demonstrate how to incorporate natural light, color and movement into your work and paint in the moment.
