Make your own blacksmithing tools while developing and refining your skills on the forge. During this weekend workshop, you will create your own set of blacksmithing tools needed to become a backyard blacksmith, while learning the basics of blacksmithing. Tool projects include tongs and fire-tending tools chisels and punches. Heat treatment, forging, and more will be covered as you expand both your skills and your tools. Class size is limited to 6 students. Students should wear comfortable, natural fiber (cotton) clothes they don't mind getting dirty, closed toed shoes, and safety glasses. The class occurs outdoors in a covered area. A materials fee of $35 is PAYABLE TO THE INSTRUCTOR at the first class.
