Each year, India ushers in spring by celebrating Holi, its Festival of Colors. Did you know that in many parts of India, Holi is the second largest festival celebrated annually, behind only Diwali, India's Festival of Lights? Kids will learn about and celebrate Holi, learn one of its mythological stories, and create a colorful mixed media "Holi" art project that uses a combination of technique and process through drawing, painting, collage, and other media. Holi is a fun but messy celebration. Dress in anticipation or a colorful experience that will likely end up on your clothes.
