TEEN PORTRAIT & FIGURE DRAWING - AGES 14-19

Over the next few weeks we look to assist the development of Teen Artist's creative imagination by providing a focus on the people around us. We will study some of the many different styles of creating portraits and practice with drawing heads, faces, hands and figures. We'll work not only from instructor provided photos but also students own photos brought in for inspiration. We will also work from live subjects, professional clothed models posing for you just like they do in master artists studios. We will work with assorted materials, many which are noted on the class Supply List . This class is an excellent choice for AP Students, Studio & Portfolio Preparation students who are developing their work, and focusing their investigative skills to expand on the experimental elements of their portfolios. Classes are progressive, students can join at any time, each successive session builds upon the last. It is recommended to have had some previous drawing experience prior to taking this cassA group critique is incorporated into each class. There will be a $10 model fee payable to the instructor at our first class. See www.spruillarts.org for a list of supplies you will need to bring to class.
