Floral paintings started with the Dutch in the 1600s, continued though the Impressionist era and morphed into the modernistic paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe. Learn to create your best floral painting in your style using oils, acrylics, pastel or watercolors. We will focus on composition, point of view, color harmony, background colors, and color mixing. We'll use cut flowers I will provide or flowers you provide from your garden or a store. You may choose to depict flowers in a vase or a close-up of a few flowers. Whether your style is realistic, abstract or impressionistic, you will go home with a finished painting.
