The thing about clay is you can turn it into almost anything with just your hands and a few simple tools. We will explore the many techniques available to create, decorate and fire work that is "you". Functional to sculptural; the sublime to the ridiculous. Whether you are new to clay or an experienced professional, it is all possible and Carol will show you how. Glazes and firing costs are included with your registration fee. Tayaba's Classes

Tayaba is a Bengali-American ceramic artist and the owner of The Cracked Pot Designs. She works out of her home studio in Tucker, Georgia where she creates wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramic pieces that balance everyday functionality with understated elegance.

Deeply influenced by her Bengali heritage, Tayaba's work often features intricate, henna-inspired surface designs that celebrate tradition through thoughtful detail. As a self-taught artist, she has spent years developing a distinctive style rooted in organic forms and rich texture, often blending elements of pottery and weaving.

Beyond the studio, Tayaba teaches ceramics at 40th& Pine and Spruill, where she shares her passion for clay through wheel-throwing and handbuilding classes, fostering creativity and connection within her community.

I have been playing in clay since early childhood (and still am).

I have been studying ceramics since 1974 (and still am).

I have been showing/selling my ceramics since 1975 (and still am).

I have been teaching ceramic classes since 1980 (and still am).
