In this class students will learn a variety of hand building techniques including pinch, slab and coil. These techniques will be explored each week through demonstrations of both functional and non-functional projects. Students are encouraged to make the class project and learn the basic techniques necessary before exploring their own ideas. Once these techniques have been mastered, students may bring their own ideas to the classroom and will receive assistance as needed from the instructor. Students will also learn different techniques on how to glaze their pieces which will be fired in electric kilns.

A set of basic tools can be purchased for a $15 fee PAID TO THE INSTRUCTOR through Venmo or cash on the first day of class.
