Boyce's Classes
Boyce Colmant is a ceramic artist living in Decatur, Georgia. She creates functional and sculptural forms using basic hand building techniques. She impresses the clay surface of her *functional ware using her handmade clay stamps. Her sculptural vessels are all built using hand rolled coils.
"I was fortunate to grow up in an environment where, surrounded by women who were bright, inquisitive, and artistic, my creativity was encouraged. I signed up for my first ceramics class at the University of South Florida in 1975. I quickly caught the clay bug. Clay is so magical to me. I love its tactile quality and versatility. I began teaching ceramics following completion of an Assistantship at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta in 1996. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am never bored as long as I can work in clay. It continues to delight and excite me." Boyce's clay work is in private collections in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Oregon. She has given workshops in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, and Wyoming.| Date | Day | Time | Location |
