There are no scheduled sessions at this time. Sign up to be notified when this course is available.
In this 2-day workshop we will concentrate on a variety of printing processes using AMACO Velvet Underglaze. You will learn how to make Velvet Underglaze Inks and prepared Velvet Underglaze Inks will be provided for the workshop. Hands-on projects will include a variety of printing and silk screening techniques ranging from simple screens made from vinyl and organza to more detailed ones using light sensitive emulsion sheets that work great with photographs. Each person will develop a small screen (approx. 5” x 6”) or can purchase sheets of silkscreen emulsion film to use during the workshop. Ordering information is on the supply list and purchasing these screens are optional. Both thrown and handbuilt forms will be made from the printed slabs. Once the forms are complete, we will talk about glazes that best suit this process.
