In this class we will explore the creation of 3D sculptures, such as figures, animals and characters . Our focus will be less on strict realism and more on a sense of play as we refine and expand our familiar handbuilding techniques, and learn how to use them to rise up from the ware board and make sound, well built sculptures. We will work with stoneware clay, and use underglazes and glazes to embellish our sculptures. Must have completed two or more handbuilding courses or have equivalent experience.
