Do you feel lost or frustrated when trying to mix color? Do you hope for luminosity and end up with muddy colors instead? With over 30 years of painting experience, Pat will share what she has learned that guides her color choices and can help simplify color mixing. You'll learn the why and how behind color mixing and will do some exercises together that will help you have more skill and confidence in mixing colors that vary in intensity, value and color temperature. You will gain a better understanding of what colors to mix to get the colors you want for your painting and WHY to make those choices. For one of our exercises, we will do a deep dive into the color green which can be especially challenging and is a color that is crucial to handle well for landscape and floral paintings.
