Have you reached the stage where you can competently center and throw basic forms, but need some surface inspiration? Join toolmaker and potter Ryan Metzler for a one-day workshop learning to alter and embellish wheel-thrown forms. Ryan’s beautifully crafted wooden paddles, and his expert guidance in their use, will take you in exciting new directions with your practice. Bring your own basic throwing tools. Expect to create 4-8 pieces of work that can be fired to bisque at Spruill or taken home to your studio. One texture paddle is included in the class. Additional paddles can be purchased at the workshop. NOTE: Ceramics - wheel experience required to take this workshop.
